Turning imagination into innovation.

entp was founded on the belief that ideas are the most important asset a company can have. Based on the Myers-Briggs personality profile*, our ability to formulate ideas comes from an intense curiosity, coupled with a pragmatic, problem-solving sensibility. Call it the inventor’s spirit. It's what allows us to think differently about your business and discover solutions you never knew were there. But that's just a little about who we are.

Let us also tell you who we're not:

We're not experts.

That’s actually the point. Expertise can actually be a barrier to innovation. Think about it like this – companies often value knowledge, but it was curiosity that built that knowledge in the first place. That's where we put our energy. We're relentlessly curious problem solvers who ask questions. We're daydreamers who exercise our imagination. By operating this way, we're able to view your business through an entirely different lens, helping to create breakthroughs that turn aspirations into innovations.

We're not 'yes people.'

We believe the most dangerous phrase in business is, 'that's the way we've always done it.' That's not how we do things. Saying yes might be easy, but in order for growth to happen, it needs an agitator. Someone or some thing to challenge the status quo. That's what makes an idea powerful and capable of change. We're not here to tell you what you're doing is wrong, but we're not afraid to ask tough questions and challenge the assumptions that will push boundaries. To us, that's how you turn something good into something great.

We're not consultants.

If you're looking for someone to occupy a cubicle for six weeks and deliver a report telling you all that's wrong with your business, we're not for you. Instead, we use a process called active learning. That means we don't just give you an analysis of your business and a few ideas to run with. We actively assess your business in real time while working directly with every level of your company. And not just within the walls, either. We get to know everyone from distribution to the end customer, giving us the insight needed to not only come up with solutions – but to actually implement them.

We're not employees.

There's a difference between immersing ourselves in your business and infiltrating it. We don't believe in the latter. We're an ally. An additional resource. A supplement to the existing team. We're up front about who we are and what we do, and while we make recommendations about the business and processes – we never evaluate the people themselves. It ensures we have the trust to deliver what we promise and never anything less.

According to a 2010 IBM survey of more than 1,500 CEOs, creativity is the most important leadership skill — more than influence, global thinking, dedication, sustainability or even integrity.
